Nick passed away on Monday, he will be greatly missed by many in the art world. Even if you don't recognize his name you've probably seen his work, his illustrations have been in several different prominent magazines and have graced many book covers. My favorites have always been his portraits of people and especially of dancing girls. He was so good at portraying emotions. I also posted about Nick way way back in 2006.
Sorry for my absence the past few days, I've been working out all the kinks involved with getting the archives up. And now they're live! You can go all the way back to my first posts in Februrary 2006. So much great work from so many talented people. A few of the prints are even still available to buy, so check them out!

essica Hische is my new typography hero. If you haven't already heard, she is putting out a new dropcap every work day that you can use on your noncommercial blog for free! This print was hand done by her on a letterpress and is the first set of drop caps that she did.
